All students at WLHS are able to receive an HCPSS Chromebook. If the student is not assigned a Chromebook and would like a Chromebook, the student should come to the WLHS Media Center to receive the assigned Chromebook during the normal school day. The student will receive a Chromebook and a charging cord. We highly suggest that students charge their Chromebook at night and try to avoid bringing the cord to school since there is a cost to reissue a cord if it is lost/stolen. There are also financial responsibilities for damage and loss. Please see below for more details:
- If your Chromebook is not working or is lost, please have the student bring the Chromebook and cord to the Media Center during normal school hours. We will try to troubleshoot any issues we can before we send it off to be repaired by a technician.
- Duties and Obligations for student Chromebooks
- Chromebook Care guidelines
- Student usernames and passwords are also managed by the Media Specialists. Students should come to the Media Center during normal school hours to receive help. (Parents use Canvas Connect and if they need help, they should use the items at the bottom of the webpage or contact the WLHS Front Office if they are unable to reset their password)
- HCPSS Chromebooks must be used for HCPSS Standardized testing and students who choose not to be assigned a Chromebook will have to get a Chromebook for testing purposes a few days ahead of time.
