Morning Bus/Drop-off Traffic Patterns
WLHS will be continuing the same morning drop off patterns for the 2024-2025 school year. We realize that last school year, Wilde Lake was impacted by countywide changes for bus transportation and will continue to open up a lane in the front parking lot (bus loop) of the school for student drop-off in the AM. This will only impact students in the morning.
Signs with arrows as well as cones will direct cars and buses in the parking lot in front of the school.
Please stay to the left of the cones (closest to the Interfaith Center) as you enter the front parking lot and avoid the bus lane (closest to the school building). Buses will remain in the same locations as years prior, closest to the school building (right side of cones) in a numbered parking spot.
Things to Remember:
When dropping off, please pull all the way up so that cars can continuously come in and out.
Pay attention to the signage located at the entrance to our front parking lot.
Please do not block buses from entering the parking lot.
Multiple staff will be available outside to help answer any questions.
Yield to buses when entering and exiting the front parking lot.
Please pay attention to the cones and signage that will be in the parking lot as you arrive.
Please remind your child to check for traffic when exiting your vehicle.
Please drive slowly and pay close attention to pedestrians.

Dismissal
Cars will not be permitted in the bus loop during dismissal; cars may continue to use the pick-up/drop off circle located near the James Rouse Theatre. The bus loop will be open for cars at 2:55 PM, after buses depart.
