On Wednesday, October 13, all 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT. This exam is a practice SAT and provides feedback to
students on preparation for the SAT college entrance exam. In addition, 11th grade students taking the exam can qualify for national scholarships
based on their performance. We encourage all Wildecats to get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast on Wednesday morning to be able to show how
much they know on the PSAT.
Seniors are invited to join us in the cafeteria during the PSAT to work on academics and to login to Naviance for college and career exploration
and applications. Seniors can also choose to take a discretionary absence day for college visits and career exploration. If a senior is choosing
to use a discretionary absence day, please email wlhsabsence@hcpss.org to notify the school. HCC is hosting a Senior Information Day from 11am-2pm;
details can be found at https://howardcc.elluciancrmrecruit.com/Apply/Events/EventDetails?eventId=becdd473-9815-ec11-a995-83a9193f3cfd
On PSAT day, seniors can use the day to work on your next steps after the Lake! You can have an excused absence to visit Howard Community College for their Senior
Summit or come to WLHS to research colleges, jobs and technical schools.
