With school closure extended through at least May 15, we will be postponing Prom from the originally scheduled date of May 16. The senior class council and advisors are working with the Baltimore Aquarium to identify possible alternative dates, and, if needed, we will research alternate locations.  

The same is true for graduation planning. HCPSS has been in contact with Merriweather Post Pavilion to discuss alternative plans, and a team of HCPSS staff members have been meeting with high seniors from all high schools and the Homewood Center to discuss potential alternative celebrations for our seniors. More information will be communicated as decisions are made.  Wilde Lake continues to connect seniors with scholarship information, identify students for senior awards, and complete the 2019-2020 yearbook. We look forward to celebrating with our students when and where it is safe to do so!

Speaking of the Yearbook for seniors, please see this note from the Yearbook staff and advisor:  Hello Class of 2020! We hope you are all well. Our administration decided that we should include senior quotes in the 2020 yearbook, and we are very thankful. This is a great opportunity for you to say something about yourselves, your friends, your WLHS experience, and what a strange school year we've had.  These quotes will go below your senior portrait in the yearbook. However, if you've opted not to include your senior portrait but still want to submit a senior quote, we'll find a way to include your quote. The major ground rule is that your quote must be appropriate and publishable. We reserve the right to not include anything that is inappropriate, sounds plain wrong, needs to be looked up on Urban Dictionary, might make your grandmother blush, or in any way might get us or you in some sort of trouble. Keep it clean!  Please fill out the online form and submit it no later than May 1, 2020. One submission per person please. All submissions must be from current seniors.
