Our partners at Grassroots have provided a Resource List that contains contact information and descriptions of services provided in three categories: Covid-19 Resources, Crisis Resources, and General Resources.

2] Community Action Council Resources for Food, Housing and Energy Assistance

The Community Action Council of Howard County has resources for those needing food, housing, or energy assistance at Community Action Council of Howard County Response to the Coronavirus.  This includes the Howard County Food Bank, located at 9385 Gerwig Lane, Columbia MD 21046.  Clients should bring identification and proof of Howard County residency to the food bank. To make an appointment, please call: 410-313-6185.

Food Bank hours
Tuesdays: 1 to 4 p.m.
Wednesdays: 1 to 4 p.m.

Wednesdays: 5 to 8 pm (by appointment only)
Thursdays: 1 to 4 p.m.
Saturdays: 9 a.m. to noon (by appointment only) 

3] CARE (Child and Adolescent Resources and Education) Line 

The Howard County Office of Children and Families provides a free information and referral service for questions about behavior, childcare, special needs, health and mental health concerns, financial assistance and other topics. The CARE line staff works with families to identify their needs and help find solutions. Call 410-313-CARE (2273) (voice/ relay) or email children@howardcountymd.gov.
