SERVICE LEARNING HOURS OPPORTUNITY FOR SENIORS

Attention seniors! Are you interested in earning service learning hours while impacting your community?

Howard County Recreation & Parks is seeking compassionate, highly motivated and talented mentors and tutors who want to share their knowledge with middle school students at Harpers Choice and Wilde Lake Middle School. The programs duration is from January 14th to April 11th, 2019.

 

Responsibilities

Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday OR Thursday 4:00-5PM

If you signed up for a shift, we ask that you attend on all scheduled days unless otherwise noted. (No program on days that HCPSS is closed or half days.)

 

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting students with homework, teaching study skills, etc.

Serving as a positive role model

Required Forms:

Online Volunteer Form  https://www.hocovolunteer.org (if you are not “registered” you will need to complete a Volunteer Form to be signed by a parent)

You are responsible for maintaining accurate timecards. We will have volunteer timecards on site and are willing to sign any forms required through your school or NHS.

National Honor Society Students preferred but not required.
