Special Effects, crazy hauntings, séances, and silly shenanigans abound with Wilde Lake HS’s fall play, “Blithe Spirit.”

Noel Coward’s smash comedy and much-revived 1941 classic offers up a witty novelist, Charles, who is remarried but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, Elvira, after she is called up by the eccentric medium, Madame Arcati. Charles’ present wife, Ruth, is none-too pleased with sharing her house or her husband with the spirit world. Worldly and unworldly personalities clash in a battle to see which “blithe spirit” will win.
