WHO: ALL 9th, 10th and 11th GRADERS

DATE: Wednesday October 19, 2016
TIME: 7:35 – 10:40
PLACE: Students will be testing on the first, second, and third floors, grouped in alphabetical order according to grade. Test locations will be distributed for students by Monday.  Also, testing locations will be posted on the third floor and near guidance on test day.
            
MATERIALS: All students are required to bring the following and are responsible for bringing their own materials:
**3 (#2) PENCILS
**CALCULATOR (EXTRA BATTERIES RECOMMENDED)

THERE IS NO FEE INVOLVED FOR 9TH, 10TH AND 11TH STUDENTS

PURPOSE OF THIS TEST:
**Taking the PSAT during the school day is part of a new county initiative.  Students are encouraged to do their best, as vital information on their performance will be returned to them and their families.
**Studies show that students who take the PSAT and use its feedback score higher on the SAT.
**National Merit Scholars are selected from the juniors taking the test.
**The tests consist of 5 subtests and last approximately 2 and 1/2 hours with additional time to prepare answer sheets.  

THERE WILL NOT BE A MAKE-UP TEST DAY!  STUDENTS MUST REPORT TO SCHOOL ON TIME.
